Thanks for your feedback on our surveys. With prayerful consideration and the Lord's leading, we believe that now is the time to begin--at first on a limited basis--a worship service on campus and a communion service through Zoom.  Moreover, we plan to resume baptisms and membership. (I can hear you now: "Hallelujah!")

OUTDOOR WORSHIP SERVICE  戶外崇拜
The plan is to hold outdoor worship services (English only) on the church lawn beginning Sunday, August 30th, during the normal time of 10:45 am--12:00 pm. For the first few weeks, at least, we will not be able to live stream that service for those who join from home on the internet.

But fear not, worshipers from home at 10:45am  will still be able to view a worship service as usual--the only difference is that it will be prerecorded. We hope to add a 1st service (Chinese-language) outdoor service in the near future as well.

Because we need to limit the number of people for this outdoor service, a "reservation system" will be used. All attendees must reserve a spot through a link that will be provided next week. Watch for that email.

COMMUNION SERVICE  聖餐
On Sunday, September 6th at 10:25am, we will observe the Lord's Supper together on Zoom as a whole church in three languages. The reason we are choosing to do this on Zoom (instead of live stream) is because of the communal nature of this meal. In a live stream, we cannot see one another. Therefore, we will partake together via Zoom "face-to-face" as we remember Christ's sacrifice.

To preserve the  sacred duty and privilege of our deacons serving the congregation (Acts 6), we kindly ask you to come to the church office to be "served", to receive the bread/cup from one of our deacons. Each serving will be individually sealed.

Please  click here and use this form to select a date to receive the elements. If you are unable to come on the dates provided, you can make alternate arrangements to meet a deacon. You will receive four months of servings for you and your participating family members, just in case we will not resume in-person communion services for the rest of this year. After you complete that form, you will receive the Zoom link in a follow up email.

BAPTISM SERVICE & MEMBERSHIP   浸禮及轉會
We skipped baptisms in the spring time, so we are especially eager to resume this important church ordinance on Sunday, October 25. To prepare for baptisms, we will begin holding baptism and membership classes next month in September (most likely via Zoom again).

If you profess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, but have not yet been baptized, His will for you is to be baptized (Matthew 28:19-20). Baptism does not save you, but is an act of obedience and public declaration of your faith in Jesus. If Jesus Himself, as the perfect Son of God, was baptized, how much more ought we to do the same?!

If you were previously baptized via immersion, and have a genuine, saving faith, we urge you to join our church as a member. Like baptism, membership does not save. But, like baptism, membership is a public declaration of one's love and commitment to the local church. In essence, through membership one declares, "I love this FCBC-FV church family, for better or for worse, and I am pledging myself to serve and build up this spiritual family, as God as my witness." (Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, Ephesians 4)

春季我們沒法舉行浸禮, 我們期待在十月廿五日恢復舉行. 九月會先舉行會籍班 (也會是用Zoom).
如果你已信主, 但未受洗, 主耶穌的旨意是要人受洗(太28:19-20). 加入教會及浸禮不會使你得救, 但是是公開承認你對主及本地教會的委身. 簡單來說是你宣告你對這個屬靈家庭的愛, 無論如何, 向神誓言委身事奉和建立這個屬靈的家. (羅12, 林前12, 弗4)
